Yoga Nanda’s 200-hour Teacher Training Program, The Path to Self-Realization, is running this winter and features special guest teachers presenting a multitude of topics ranging far beyond yoga asana. The studios have opened these modules to the public so that the communities can partake in the exciting and inspiring teachings that each of these special guests has to offer. This is a rare opportunity to study with highly experienced and knowledgeable yoga teachers right here on Long Island. The first two modules will take place this December at both the Garden City and Long Beach locations.

On December 1, Yoga Nanda: Garden City welcomes Lauren Magarelli and the BeBhakti Band for an uplifting kirtan to celebrate song, dance, community and life! Magarelli has been a composer, a dancer and a yoga teacher for nearly 20 years and is the creative director of the Bhakti training, which is part of the advanced 500-hour teacher training at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center, in NYC.

On Saturday, December 9, and Sunday, December 10, Yoga Nanda: Long Beach hosts Edwin Bryant as he leads a two-day seminar on The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Bryant, who has been a yoga practitioner for more than 35 years, is currently professor of religions of India at Rutgers University and has written several books, including an extremely thorough translation of The Yoga Sutras.

Join the Yoga Nanda community for these workshops and look for more unique teachers, workshops and classes all winter long!
