Stacey Hirschmann has been teaching unique yoga classes at gyms, studios and corporate events for
groups and one-on-one since 2002 and has had great success working with patients of all levels, including patients with cancer and those with other limitations. Her experience working with these amazing people has been inspiring.
Hirschmann loves to see people living fuller, standing taller, being happy and loving, and enjoys motivating others to discover their passions and inner abilities to heal.
This passion has driven her to create the Rise Like a Sunflower Project with her yoga students. They share on video their stories of what yoga means to them and how it has benefitted them. “The theme is to inspire people to understand that practicing yoga will benefit them in many ways,” explains Hirschmann. “My students have experienced a lowering of stress levels, relief from back pain, and they have the tools to deal with depression or anxiety. They feel an inner peace, joy, balance and love towards others and themselves.” In the video, some students share that they are able to run with less pain and play golf with more powerful swings. The video consists of a variety of students ranging in age from 11 to 75 (Hirschmann’s youngest student is 5 and her oldest is 92 and counting). “I truly believe that yoga is for everybody. You can practice from a chair, a bed, or of course, a mat. Any age, any culture, any religion.”
Hirschmann welcomes all to attend one of her classes on Long Island to “rise like a sunflower.”
