As with one out of two people living in the United States, cancer found its
way to the door of Brenda Cobb. Her story is not much different than that of the many thousands of people that will be blindsided by the heart-breaking diagnosis this year, although the actions she took in response were, let’s just say, unconventional.
Today, some 17 years post the terminal diagnosis, Cobb is not only cancer-free, she is the author of 10 books on natural approaches to healing, including the transformational Living Foods Lifestyle (with a forward by William E. Richardson, M.D.). She is also founder of the Living Foods Institute, a sanctuary in Atlanta, Georgia, that has, for many years, been a life-saving oasis for people with every kind of “incurable” condition from obesity and cancer to asthma and diabetes.
Cobb has appeared live on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX networks as well as many cable stations giving advice on healthy eating and living. She was awarded an honorary cultural doctorate in therapeutic philosophy from the World University as well as the Phoenix Award by the city of Atlanta.
Her secret is no secret at all, for she has spent a large portion of her time educating anyone that will listen about the healing power of food. Not organic food. Not raw food. But living food. Basing her work on that of Dr. Ann Wigmore, founder of the original Hippocrates Health Institute, Cobb teaches preparation of fermented, sprouted and enzyme-rich food to create the perfect ecosystem for healing.
