JoanneFor those that missed the October class, Positive Raw Power will be back in Bayville teaching another raw food meal class on November 2.

Raw and living foods are alkaline-rich foods that contain enzymes. Heating food over 112 degrees destroys those enzymes. Raw and living foods are fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and sprouted grains. They are filled with living energy, raw vitality and unlimited health benefits. Learn what raw food living is all about and why more and more people are focusing on this way of eating.

Joanne Steenberg, a certified raw food chef and teacher, specializes in bringing easy-to-learn dishes that are super nutritious and delicious. Students will learn how to reap the benefits of the earth’s most powerful healing foods and how to prepare them in innovative ways.  Class will then conclude with a sit-down dinner.

Raw Food Positive Raw Power, which stands for “Positive Mind” plus “Raw Food” equals a “Powerful Life,” delivers a message that is often transformational. Combining incredibly healthy foods, using the finest quality organic ingredients and a positive mindset, students come away with a new outlook on food, health and life.

Long Island classes will continue the first Monday of each month at the Mill Creek Tavern, in Bayville. Positive Raw Power also offers private raw food classes in people’s homes as well as raw food retreats on a beautiful, peaceful pond at the Dragonfly Cove Retreat Home in Penobscot, Maine.

Class includes two hours of instruction, an appetizer, sit-down dinner with main course and dessert, handouts, recipes, gift bags filled with goodies donated by Whole Foods … and lots of inspiration.
