One Love Long Island (OLLI) will hold its annual One Love Long Island event on September 24, from
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Sands Point Preserve, in Port Washington. One Love Long Island is when 20 yoga studio communities from across Long Island unite with common breath, compassion and the practice of yoga to raise awareness and funds in support of organizations that work to eradicate the horrific practice of human trafficking.
OLLI’s partners and projects provide refuge, rehabilitation and economic opportunities for survivors of trafficking globally. This year, the monies raised will go to Puresa Humanitarian, Girls Inc. of Long Island, which provides a powerful combination of programs, research and advocacy that inspires girls and young women across Long Island to be strong, smart and bold and to prepare for economic independence and confident adulthood. As always, OLLI works in collaboration with Off the Mat into the World to support its continued work using yoga to inspire conscious, sustainable activism and ignite grassroots social change.
