The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program is offering two support groups for women with breast cancer. Participants will have the opportunity to talk openly and confidentially about their concerns.
One group will meet at the Adelphi School of Social Work, in Garden City, and the other will be a virtual support group. The in-person support group will meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
at the Adelphi School of Social Work, in Garden City, beginning March 4. There is no charge, but preregistration is required.
With the virtual support group, there is no need to leave home or work to take part. Beginning Tuesday, March 3, from noon to 1 p.m., this group will be conducted virtually through the use of Google Hangouts, a video chat service that enables up to 10 people to interact.
These groups are sponsored by the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program and supported by a grant from the Alpern Family Foundation.
