Yoga Poses to Heal Aches

“As a Yoga teacher, I am often asked if yoga can help relieve backaches, headaches, neck aches, and even heartaches,” says Leah Hartofelis, Breathe N Flow Yoga studio owner. “My answer is, ‘Yoga is great for anything that ends in ache.’

“Continued practice of yoga asana, coupled with pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation, is the antidote to physical and mental well-being,” adds Hartofelis.

“Here are a few yoga poses for the common aches and pains [see accompanying photo],” shares Hartofelis. “When practicing, remember to listen to your body, tune into your breath, and move slowly and mindfully in and out of postures.”
