Simone Antonio Natural Fragrances were developed by Simone Tate after a lifelong passion for fashion design and creating natural soaps from essential oils. Simone studied with some of the foremost perfumers in the world, including Alec Lawless, in London, Charna Ethier and Mandy Aftel. Tate identified the need for these fragrances while studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology and noticing that while she enjoyed scents on her skin, synthetic perfumes and colognes left her with a reaction. Tate believed that there was a need for acetone-free fragrances and fragrances made with pure-grade essential oils, and uses only a base of natural grain alcohol. Her signature scents—two perfumes and one cologne—have a patchouli base. Tate sees herself growing the company by adding more scents to her fragrance line and moving into soaps, lotions and natural clothing.
