Positive Raw Power, a company from Downeast Maine, will host raw food classes on Long Island beginning Monday, October 19, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Founder Joanne LaCarrubba Steenberg, a Long Island native, is a certified raw food chef and teacher and will be bringing her popular classes to the Mill Creek Tavern, in Bayville, on a monthly basis. Her classes have been sold out in Maine, and due to a high demand in the area, many Long Islanders will now have the opportunity to experience this unique course.
Learn what raw food living is all about and why more and more people are focusing on this way of eating. Steenberg specializes in bringing easy-to-learn dishes that are super nutritious and delicious. In addition, after the dishes are demonstrated, class will conclude with a raw food sit-down dinner shared by all.

Long Island classes will continue the first Monday of each month at the Mill Creek Tavern. Positive Raw Power also offers private raw food classes in one’s own home and raw food retreats on a beautiful, peaceful pond at the Dragonfly Cove Retreat Home, in Penobscot, Maine.
Class includes: two hours of instruction, an appetizer, sit-down dinner with main course and dessert, handouts and recipes.
