Join Ashley Davis, of Bad Ash Yoga, for a two-hour workshop on deconstructing chaturanga dandasana, or four-limbed staff pose, to take place on September 12th at Emerge Yoga & Wellness, in Belmore. This powerful asana requires focus, strength, stamina and commitment. When done with attentive alignment along with the breath, it builds muscles from the wrists and hands to the arms upper back and throughout the core. When done repeatedly in misalignment over time, it is one of the primary poses that can contribute to strain or injuries in yogis.
With awareness, education and practice, we can prevent injury and work toward our own transformation, becoming more awake and aware of our body in the process.
